KiCAD Project: MiniDexed Hat for Raspberry Pi
MiniDexed Hat for Raspberry Pi is a Raspberry Pi Hat that is used to build a MiniDexed synthesiser.
Features:
- To avoid the Raspberry Pi 4's stringent USB-C requirements, an on-board step-down converter runs from a standard 12V wall-wart power supply. Direct mounting for a PCM5102A audio module, with output routed to headers.
- Connecting headers for peripherals:
- A 1602 display requires 8 pins (using this backpack board)
- I2C interface for an OLED display
- Lines to the left and right
- Serial MIDI interface for a 3.3V MIDI interface
- Encoder module KY-040
The encoder debouncing capacitors are not included in Revision 1. I plan to build my own encoder boards with improved debouncing.
The PCB dimensions are based on Seth Hillbrand's Raspberry Pi hat template.
This board should work with mt32-pi with an appropriate display, but I have not tested it.
